My supports

At my job my co-workers support me during my daily work, questions I may have, and when I need help in my classroom. My mother supports me by accepting and helping me with life decisions I have made and she gives me support in my choosing what career path I want to take. I believe it is important to have people support you in life. Life is challenging and when we have to face things alone, we become afraid and unsure of what to do. Having someone there to support you gives opportunity to advice, answers, suggestions, and or problem solving. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have support in my life.

I face many challenges at my job; working with special needs children is not an easy job. These children will cuse at you, hit you, kick you, spit at you, and destroy your personal things. Having co-workers who support and help gives a calming feeling, because they go through the same thing. So basically, we help each other, because we know what each of us are going through. Having supports at my job helps keep me calm and peaceful. When I child does something that could potential harm or really hurt another child, supports help to give patience. If I didn't have supports I am sure I would be okay, but it is so much better having co-workers support and help out.

  1. Ayonie,
Supportive co-workers are invaluable. They help us all get through days that are challenging and provide us with advice and a different perspective. I am glad that you have such an great environment to work in. The work that you do is challenging and without great people, it can be even more challenging.

  2. "Life is challenging and when we have to face things alone, we become afraid and unsure of what to do." This sentence is so true. We need people in our lives who understands and respect us as individuals. It nice that people at your job support and respect what you do.

I believe that it is very important to have a great support group while at work. You can never learn enough and there will always be somethings that you may not know that someone else might.

  6. it is great to have a job where people support you, especially coworkers. Working with special needs children is an awesome task and I applaud you for your efforts. It is great to have people that are serious about teaching and that won't to help students with special needs learn.

  7. You are so correct! Facing things alone isn't fun at all. It is good that you have the support of your co-workers and mother. My mother and I are close and she gives me guidance and advice, to encourage me to move forward.
